When we were doing our research for The Mappy Thing, we would ask random people (and people we knew) on rides about the different shops to see if our impression matched the general public. Ask someone about Moment Cycle and they are likely to reply "You mean JT's place" or "yeah I know those guys-they rock!"
Moment is to some degree a lesser well known shop. This probably has more to do with the location which is not really along the standard cycling routes and the fact that they are a relative newcomer. We expect that to change as these guys are quickly breeding a legion of fans who treat them like cult leaders and their raving band of lunatic followers are always happy to sing their praises.
Moment is certainly most popular with the triathlon crowd but do not count them out if you are in the market for a road bike. If you are getting a bike fit better get a babysitter. You are gonna be there a while. This ain't gonna be a quickie saddle adjustment. These guys take their art seriously and it shows.
